A La Carte Delivery Dates & Chester This Sunday

Posted 1/10/2020 10:23am by Ryan Lacz & Liz Balchin.

Hi All-

Hope this finds you well, getting excited for another wild weekend of weir weather!  It seems that this so called 'winter' really can't make up its mind this year...15 degrees one morning, 60 degrees 2 days later.  While it's nice to get a warm up, it can be a bit of a pain on the farm as the constant freeze thaw makes for mud!  Lots of mud ;(

As you may have guessed from the subject line, we've been working on updating our online store for the New Year.  It's been a long time coming, but we are working to make our online shopping a better experience for you.  Things we'll be rolling out in the next few weeks:

  • Updated delivery dates- cutting back to once every 4 weeks for each location.
  • Photos- so you know what our products and package sizes look like
  • Pricing- you're shopping cart will have a total, and you will be able to check out online
  • Home delivery-  adjusting to everyone's increasingly busy lives, we'll offer delivery to your front door, you don't even have to be home!  Minimum purchase required, and a small delivery fee may be applied depending on your distance form the farm.
  • Monthly Subscription- Billed to you card each month & offered year round (depending on availability).  One less thing to have to remember to do!

Our aim is to make our products more accessible to you and your families  throughout the year.  While we always welcome people to come out to the farm, we understand that most families these days simply don't have the time- that doesn't mean you should miss out on local, organically produced meats, eggs, and mushrooms!

There is a Chester delivery (now once a month) this coming Sunday, January 12th, from 11-Noon. Chicken, lamb, pork, duck, and eggs all available.  Sorry, no more mushrooms until April (too cold in our grow room).

In other exciting news- some said it would never, ever happen- but Ryan has started an Instagram account to highlight his woodworking business.  I'm a bit of a social media troglodyte (you should see Liz trying to explain it all to me!), but our friend at Manskirt Brewing, who hired me to build new table tops for the tasting room, convinced me to make the jump into the modern era.

Crazy things are happening so far this year ;)
